Though Ljubljana isn’t one of the biggest cities it’ s still the main city of Slovenia and because of its size not less interesting then other bigger cities. Kranj is a thousand year old city with its uniqe location.As the only city you see Triglav,Stol and Grintavec, which are the highest mountains in Slovenia.So it’s called the capital of Slovenian Alps.
It is also the capital of the Gorenjska region and the starting point for discovering all of it. 30 minute drive towards southeast you find the romantic capital Ljubljana and 20 minutes by car to the northwest you can reach the fairy-tale world of Bled. Maribor is the second largest city of Slovenia. It has about 114.000 inhabitants living in its wine growing hills and the MariborskoPohorje mountain. It’s Located near the Slovenian border with Austria, beside the Drava River and at the centre of five natural geographic regions. Maribor is the capital of Štajerska.
